REFUND POLICIES (The not so fun, but necessary stuff)

I always strive to decorate the exact cake design you want.  Please keep in mind this is a food based art...The end result will never be absolutely perfect (after all we are humans), but I will do my best to provide you the design you’ve requested.  Please note that deposits are non-refundable and also refer to the cancellation policy. 

If you would like to keep your cake but you are dissatisfied you will receive a refund of 50% of your cake cost (not including non-refundable deposits) towards your next order.  You will NOT receive any sort of cash value back.

PICKING UP YOUR CAKE

I recommend delivery on any 3D cakes or tiered cakes. If you choose to pick up your cake, please keep the following in mind:

Drive slow, keep your car COLD.
Keep your cake refrigerated until 2-3 hours before serving.
Cake and icing are very fragile. Speeding, going over bumps, slamming on the brakes, a wobbly table, someone bumping the table, leaving it in the car in hot weather, leaving it in your warm home in hot weather can cause damage that I am not responsible for. 

If any of the above occur after you have picked up the cake which results in damage to the cake, I will not be responsible for any of the damage or consequential damages or expenses that you incur.
I might be able to repair it, but you may incur a charge.

**So keep in mind that once the cake is in your hands, any damages that occur are not able to be held accountable to Christine's Custom Cakes***

WHEN DO I GIVE REFUNDS?

The following 3 scenarios are the only instances when I will provide a full refund:

1.)  If I fail to deliver your cake on the date and time previously agreed upon.

2.)  If you come to get your cake or at your cake delivery it does not meet your expectations, I will give you a refund (minus a 15% supplies fee).  *** If I give you a refund, you CANNOT keep the cake.  You only will receive a refund if you refuse to accept the cake.***

SOME THINGS TO UNDERSTAND:

I am not a multi-million dollar operation, this is my hobby. We cannot “work magic” like you see on television shows.  Once a cake has been picked up by you or a designated party it is considered "accepted". All product is the responsibility of the customer once it leaves my hands. Refunds requested due to decorating style, color shade or general decoration design will not be honored. I only give refunds in accordance with refund policies stated above.
